Qui est Edwige ?
Je suis professeure de français langue étrangère depuis 2018, j'accompagne des candidats à l'entretien d'assimilation depuis 2023.
Formée par l'État français et diplômée de l'Université de Strasbourg, j'accompagne des candidats à la nationalité française depuis plusieurs années.
Et je vois la même chose encore et encore : connaître les réponses ne suffit pas toujours à savoir les donner à l'oral.
Mon objectif : t'aider à comprendre ce qu'on attend de toi et à trouver les mots justes pour répondre à l'agent de préfecture avec confiance et authenticité.

If you're preparing for French nationality and feeling overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge you're expected to master, I cannot recommend Edwige Lesvenan highly enough.
The preparation goes far beyond memorising facts. You need to understand French history, politics, institutions, culture, and the rights and responsibilities of French citizens, and you need to be able to discuss these topics confidently during your prefecture interview.
What makes Edwige exceptional is that she doesn't teach everyone the same way. She quickly understood how each member of my family learned best and adapted her teaching accordingly. She knew when someone needed discussion, when another person benefited from repetition, and when a different explanation would make a complex topic click. That personalised approach made the learning process far more effective and gave each of us confidence in our own abilities.
Her lessons and homework were thoughtfully designed and made use of a wide range of engaging resources, including videos, articles, quizzes, and real life examples that reinforced what we had learned in class. Rather than simply asking us to memorise information, she encouraged us to understand it, reflect on it, and discuss it, making the learning process both effective and enjoyable.
Although Edwige is not there to teach French as a language, she is exceptionally good at helping you express your knowledge in French. She helps you structure clear, natural answers and prepares you to respond confidently to the types of questions you will be asked during the interview. Just as importantly, she works with you to develop your own answer to one of the interview's most important questions: "Why do you want to become French?" She encourages you to reflect on your personal journey and articulate your motivations in a sincere, coherent, and convincing way.
The results speak for themselves. Every member of my family successfully passed the prefecture interview and was granted French nationality. This achievement is a testament to Edwige's expertise, dedication, and ability to prepare her students not only with the knowledge they need, but also with the confidence to succeed.
